Most fun I have ever had raiding. Mostly because of the guild and raid group I was in. But the PvP went to crap and as much as I have fond memories I have no desire to go back to this at all.
I liked Burning Crusade, but in truth for me this is where the long and slow decline began. This is when the server identity and community started it's downhill ride. I might still give it a whirl though as it is a bit friendlier for a casual player than Classic WoW is.
I can't imagine they will. There shouldn't be the gigantic influx of players ramming the servers. Many people that jumped into classic jumped off as soon as the nostalgia dried up., BC isn't likely to have the same impact.
I still play wow but only wow on a P-Server(Wowmania 3.3.5) ... Lich king was the best and on This Server you can choose to stop leveling at Level 60 or 70 ... so it is 3.3.5 but you can still enjoy tue old content
oh BC, the first time I actually played the end game. Tauren Druid. Raided Kara and the super casual guild I raided with was barely able to make progress in SSC. I'd love to give this expansion a proper whirl with my years of mythic raid experience now.
Reusing the original cinematic trailer at a lower resolution and suddenly shows a high resolution gameplay. This could mean one thing, Blizzard lost the original raw files for the BC trailer.
@DgoneOfficial I think it was 720p. 1080p was still a luxury back in 2007. Blizzard should have kept the raw files though, and re-render the trailer at 4K or at least upscale it. Low video bitrate also seems to be an issue here, and you can tell.
one more xpac and the trilogy will be complete, wrath was the peak point of wow and classic should end with it, no need for other ones after wrath please! Aurthus had the best story line and ICC was crazy fun!
I'm not complaining but it's a bit too soon isn't it? :O Also I hope in the future we'll get Classic+ where we can play the new Class-Race Combos (excluding Death Knight and Monk etc.)
I don't get it...they are just gonna release the exact same expansions. People will cry for Pre-BC Classic again, are they gonna start a third version that starts from Classic again?
I know many people will welcome this decision. But I can't help but pointing out that Blizzard has used the word 'Classic' so lightly. This is almost a Season 2 of WoW series.
@Coffee Cake What's wrong with repeating games you've already experienced? I still play games from the 90s even tho I've played them dozens of times. Why? Because I enjoy them. Pretty simple concept.
@Gadriel Aubrey I played Classic because I wanted the old leveling experience back, but I didn’t actually play during Vanilla. I started mid BC so I’ve got way more Nostalgia for BC and the most Nostalgia for WOTLK. So when they inevitably release WOTLK Classic, I will be way more into that.
me neither, but i guess their goal is to relaunch classic servers as they were, and maybe build on them later once ppl get bored of playing the same thing over and over. but for now they want ppl to enjoy how it was, cuz that's what they want, and blizzard wants them to realize that this isn't enough to keep coming back to. literal insanity replaying the same expansion over and over with the same patch notes xD
OK guys i'm sure nostalgia is kicking in for you but i'll never understand how they can release an old expansion, label it as ''new content'' and still have people wasting times on it. I get it, nostalgia, but still it's 2021 and I think game developers should focus on new content for current expansion then wasting times on old content.
@maregondrako but eventually, even if it’s behind, won’t it eventually change enough it won’t be classic? It’ll be WoW from a few years ago. What if I don’t want to play with the expansions? What if someone wants to play the original wow classic?
